Uncle Thomas's own digital and smart lock techniques
As Singapore homes moved from keys to keypads, Uncle Thomas kept learning. Over the years he has worked out his own damage-free ways to open faulty and locked digital locks — so in most cases you get back in without having to buy a new lock. Where a lock is truly beyond saving, we tell you honestly and can install a new one on the spot.
We don't do lock repairs, key duplication or key cutting (the one exception is car key fobs, which we clone). If a lock is faulty, we open it and replace it, so the problem doesn't come back.
What it costs

My digital lock battery is flat. What should I do?
Most digital locks have an emergency power point (often a 9V battery terminal) or a backup key. If those don't work, call or WhatsApp 9224 9224 and we'll open it for you.
Do you repair digital locks?
No — we don't do repairs. We open the lock, and if it's faulty we can replace it with a new one, covered by our no-expiry installation warranty.
Is a smart lock different from a digital lock?
A smart lock is a digital lock that also connects to an app, Wi-Fi or a smart home hub. Both run on batteries and can lock you out in the same ways, and we open both.
